Shops get longer Christmas hours
South-east Queensland shops are getting ready to open longer this Christmas season after an industrial relations commission ruling. The changes affect businesses from the NSW border to Gatton and as far north as Noosa, with the National Retailers Association claiming the move will benefit stores to the tune of $111 million. The changes come into force today and allow retailers to open from 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday. Like the Brisbane Times Facebook page.
