Clint Eastwood's film on 2015 French train terror attack to feature real-life heroes playing themselves
The three California men who thwarted a terror attack on a French train in 2015 will make the rare move of playing themselves in a Clint Eastwood-directed film about their heroics, a studio announced on 18 July. The Sacramento-area men were vacationing in Europe when they tackled Ayoub El-Khazzani, a man who authorities said has ties to radical Islam. The film will be the latest of several about real-life heroes that Clint Eastwood has taken on, including 2014's American Sniper, and 2016's Sully.
