Creation of jobs is the biggest challenge that India faces right now, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi said on Tuesday. The job numbers are nowhere where they should be, Gandhi said, as he admitted that previous Congress governments had failed to address the concern. Gandhi added as an addendum, even the current Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party has failed to provide Indian youth with jobs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Mahamana Express, to be run between Vadodara and Varanasi, on September 22. Modi will flag off the train, which will run from Vadodara on its maiden journey, with a remote control in Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency. The Modi government had unveiled the first rake of Mahamana Express as part of the Railways' Model Rake Project in 2016. The new weekly train will run from Varanasi every Friday and from Vadodara every Wednesday.

The Modi government had unveiled the first rake of the Mahamana Express as part of Railways' Model Rake Project in 2016. The Mahamana Express with plush interiors - built under the Make in India initiative - currently runs on two routes of Varanasi-New Delhi and Bhopal-Khajuraho.

The meeting has been postponed by a few days, official sources said.
The Cabinet on Tuesday approved hiving off mobile towers of state-run telecom firm BSNL into a separate company. The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval for hiving off mobile tower assets of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) into a separate company, fully-owned by BSNL, an official statement said. An independent, dedicated tower company of BSNL with a focused approach will lead to increasing of external tenancies and consequentially higher revenue for the new company, it added.
